Kathy's Holiday
Season
This season Kathy Peteroff didn't do
all that much. Most of her time was spent sewing right up until
Christmas. A few days before Christmas she took out the old plastic
tree and decorated it, then she cleaned the house and started hanging
and writing Christmas cards. Kathy also attended both Christmas
programs, the school's and the city's, to watch the children perform
plays and sing songs. On Christmas eve, around 11:45 P.M., she and
her family, along with most everybody else in town, went to church.
After it was over she and her family went home to open presents and
go to bed. The next day she woke up early and started cooking dinner.
In between mixing and baking she called friends and relatives to say
Merry Christmas.
After Christmas was all over, things
went back to normal for a while, until Slavik came. Kathy spent a few
days of Slavik here in Marshall and then decided to fly up to Russian
Mission for the rest of it. She had fun visiting and following the
star, and says she misses living there. The trip was mostly for fun,
something to do to get away from the normal flow of life. She was
there for three days and then came back to Marshall. After that she
didn't do much besides just wait for school to start
again.
