My First Eagle
As we came to the fork in the road, we started to
argue about which way to go. Mark wanted to go right and I wanted to
go left. We finally decided to go straight. As we drove along, we
talked about the beautiful country. We were so busy talking, we
didn't notice the three bald eagles flying above us. When we finally
saw them, we went crazy. They were beautiful! It was the first time I
saw any type of eagle in my whole life. It filled me with
joy.
"Are you OK, Janine? You look kind of
funny."
"I'm fine, Mark. I've just never seen anything so
big and beautiful."
We stopped and watched the birds. And guess what!
They came down and landed on the hood of our
car! Their big eyes were looking straight at us. It was the best
experience ever.
Then, all of a sudden, we heard a bang. It was
some loud mouth kids shooting at the birds. We yelled at them to
stop, but they wouldn't at first. After about 15 minutes though, we
convinced them to stop. Thank god!
