to use as an example of Culturally-based curriculum and documentation. These

My Trip
One day last fall the weather was calm and the ocean was shiny
bright from the sunlight reflecting on it.
It was then that my parents decided to go home from fish camp. So
we started packing things up, and waited for the tide to come in.
Finally, when the tide came up it was already beginning to get dark.
So we decided to start back.
On our way home we met another traveler on the water. Since his
boat was empty he offered to take both my sister and me with him.
About half way back it was pitch black and we couldn't see a thing.
So we stopped and tried to find my parents.
We were a little nervous, but after looking around for a while we
saw a light blinking. We thought it might be them so we took out a
flashlight and did the same . Finally after yelling and sending more
signals we found each other.
We then continued our trip back home and a couple of hours later
we made it home safe and sound.
