"How The Fox Got His Fluffy Tail"
Once there was a fox who had a very skinny tail. He always wanted
to have a fluffy tail like all the other foxes had. The other foxes
were always teasing and making fun of him because he didn't have a
fluffy tail like they did.
One day when the other foxes were making fun of him too much he
took off for someplace quiet and peaceful. Soon though he was getting
very hungry and it was getting very dark so he started searching for
food. Suddenly a rabbit popped out in front of him and he started
chasing it around the bushes. Finally he caught the rabbit and killed
it. But he decided to eat just one part of the rabbit and save the
other parts for later on. He decided to eat the fluffy tail of the
rabbit first and it was not long before he finished eating it all
up.
After eating, he said to himself, "Boy, am I tired. I should get
some rest." So he went to sleep near a bushy tree. Then, as he was
sleeping that night, something started to happen to him. His tail
started getting very fluffy.
The next morning he woke up and he felt very funny. He ate the
leftover rabbit and started wandering around. He's tail felt very
weird to him so he turned around to look at it. Much to his surprise
he found that he now had a fluffy tail. He was so happy that he went
back to the other foxes and proudly showed them his tail. In fact, he
had the most beautiful tail among all the foxes. All the foxes
stopped making fun of him then and started sticking with him wherever
he went from that time on.
