Lois's Fun Summer in
Emmonak
This summer Lois traveled down to
Emmonak to see her family. While she was there they went for boat
rides to Alakanuk and Sunshine Bay. At Alakanuk she and her parents
shopped, then they went to Sunshine Bay for a boat ride and to get
some gas. Sunshine Bay is in a side slough between Alakanuk and
Emmonak. There is a cannery and a gas station there.
She also spent a lot of her time with
her dad, Robert Moore. Sometimes they went hunting and rod and
reeling together down to the coast where they tried catching pike
fish but they had no luck. Sometimes Lois's family, including Gladys,
Jeremy and Deandra went fishing together too.
Her summer was fun and she says she
can't wait till next summer to go rod and reeling with her dad down
in Emmonak.
After she came back from Emmonak she
couldn't wait till school started here because she wanted to keep
away from the boredom of a small town.
