Tatiana's Busy
Summer
This summer Tatiana babysat for Lena
Sergie at Tatiana's place, listened to music, watched movies and
helped out at home. Besides staying home, she went out with her
friends for a walk, hung out by the high school, city hall and the
pool hall. At the high school she played basketball, swung on the
bars, and just hung out by the porch and talked. At the city hail all
she did was talk with other people and tell jokes. Over at the pool
hall she played pool with her friends, sat around, listened to music,
played other games and hung around outside telling
stories.
She also took her mom over to Bethel
for a check-up, and to do some visiting and shopping. They also went
to Kwethluk to visit her brother, Ephrim, and his family. When
Tatiana and her mom got back from Kwethluk and Bethel their whole
family went over to Russian Mission for a visit.
When they got back, Tatiana went over
to the sandbar with Victor, M.J, Liz and some other people. They
crossed with Katemal's boat. At the sandbar Tatiana sat around in
Katemal's boat watching people swim, and she also went for a little
walk with a friend of hers.
One day she went out on a boat ride
with Victor, M.J., Liz, Matthew and Joe-Joe up Willow Creek for
rodding and fresh air. "As we were going up," she said, "Joe-Joe,
Matthew and Victor were targeting at birds. When we got inside, they
started shooting at a beaver and then Victor went up to it and
clubbed it
with a paddle. After that we
took it over to the bank and left it there because when it was in
Katemal's boat it was grossing out me and M.J. because it had no
nose. When we got back home, I couldn't stop thinking of that gross
looking beaver."
