Practice stepping out of your professional role.

Our society is rapidly becoming a society of orchestrated images.  The people we see on television and in the magazines are mostly performing carefully prepared scripts.  Even their so-called weaknesses are scripted to achieve an effect.  In business, the professions, and government, leaders are following suit taking seminars to learn ways of presenting a more effective image.

And yet as humans we want to see the real person behind the orchestrated image.  We find that when someone comes along who has the personal strength to step out of their professional image we are drawn to them.

Practice stepping out of your professional image until you have the courage of letting others see you in non-professionalmoments and activities.  It is a vulnerable position to be in, but your vulnerability will communicate trust to others.
