A Hectic
Christmas
This Christmas was basically the same
as usual, and very hectic and stressful too. It was very good news
for all my kids that school was going to get out soon, and that their
vacation was going to be three and a half weeks long, but for me it
was a total drag.
The first week after school got out
it was miserable because the boys and Nadia were always staying home,
and being very wild and constantly giving me a headache.
As it got closer to Christmas,
everyone started to get better behaved, maybe because they wanted to
get their presents for being well behaved two days before Christmas.
On Christmas Eve at 7:00 p.m. our family all went to the gym to
attend the Community Christmas Program, where they did their regular
singing and their little skits. Rose and Tassie participated in the
program, and dressed up in old ugly clothes and did these lip syncing
music plays with funny tones of voice. It was a lot of
fun.
My New Year's Eve was pretty much the
same. I stayed home and watched TV, and at the stroke of twelve, we
all looked out the window to watch the fireworks display. They were
having a square dance at the gym, but I didn't feel like going to
it.
Throughout the rest of the vacation I
just stayed home and took care of my kids and made sure everything
was alright for them.
