A Time of Great
Relaxation
Christmas vacation was a time of
great relaxation and reflection about what I wanted to do this
upcoming year. I attended the Christmas Program which was held on the
24th of December and had a wonderful time because I was with my
family. A week later, I went to the New Year's festivities held in
the gym. On New Year's Eve, I watched the celebrations around the
world as they entered the new millennium. A little before midnight,
my family and I went up to our house with guns in hand to await the
arrival of the 21st century. When the clock struck, we shot our guns,
watched some beautiful fireworks, hugged each other, and saw some
awesome northern lights. The next night, I helped the church raffle
items, which I really enjoyed.
The weekend before school started I
heard that a basketball tournament was being held in Pilot Station.
Since I hadn't traveled there by snow machine before, I wanted to go.
When I finally found people to travel with, we left on Friday night
and came back sometime after midnight. The next day, I traveled to
Pilot again to watch the championship games. Now that I've gotten a
dose of how it is traveling that far on snow machine, with the
frostbites to prove it, I feel I now can travel farther from
Marshall.
Besides attending the celebrations
over Christmas vacation, I spent time with family, stayed up too
late, and caught up with some friends from college.
