Clara Shorty's
Summer
What did Clara do this summer? Well
she did a lot of things. But she mostly stayed home and took care of
baby Tamlyn. She couldn't do anything much because of Tamlyn. She
never even got to cut fish this summer.
However, Clara's whole family did get
to go down to St. Mary's to visit Fran and Michelle Thompson. On
their way back up from St. Mary's though their engine broke down, so
they had to wait awhile to fix it. They finally got home at 3:00
A.M.
The second time they went down to St.
Mary's they stopped at Pitka's
Point to wash clothes. While they were down there they went to
eat at South Fork, a near by
slough.
On July 28, Katemal and Clara's
family went up to Kwik for a picnic. (That was on my uncle Kat's
birthday.) While they were up there they watched the kids swim. While
they were there they also went berry picking for awhile and spotted a
hawk nest in the trees. The second time Clara's family went up to
Kwik they brought John Tiffert with them. At that time Clara and
Moses took turns watching baby Tamlyn, as each of them went
swimming.
Clara says she also read three books
this summer.
