Ray Alstrom Sr.
Water Plant Operator
Subsititute
Ray works for the PHS as a water
plant operator subsititute for the City of Marshall or PHS. He has
gone through 13 1/2 years of school. The training he got was on the
job training and he is a seasonal worker. Most of the time he works
in the shop area or various places through out the town.During the
summer season, he works 10 to 12 hours a day. His boss is either the
mayor of Marshall or the PHS represenative and he works with other
locals around Marshall. His regular salary is 12 dollars an
hour.
His responsibilities are to drive
truck, operate the cat,and to be a mechanic's helper, plus other
labor duties. The best things about his job are driving the truck and
operating the cat. The worst thing is long hours and working on rainy
or cold days.
His advice to the students is stay in
school, read, listen, and read, read, and read.
