Sis (sitil) agumis txin kahnulugniimis aĝnax̂t. If you sweat (get sweaty), you'll catch a cold (later).

Itx̂aygis udaanul agungis, itx̂ayginaaĝiingan aĝnaq (itx̂ayginaaĝiinaq). If the reindeer come over here, I shall be hunting reindeer.

Sunam haqal uyagungis, hamaanul hamang awal sluzakus. When (every year) the ship comes and gets them, they go there to work in the summer.

Laavkim imdaa tayahligudix, tukuĝulax hitzakus. They buy the supply in the store until they make it poor (finish the supply).

Haagaqaligumax (Haagaqaligumdix) txidix tuuhyutazas. When they begin to starve, they feel lonesome.

Txin saĝaniqadaguum, txin qungtukalizax̂ (qungtugiqalizax̂.) When he has fallen asleep, he usually starts snoring.

Wan angalix̂ slachxizaguu kum ayuxtal imyaĝikuq. If it had been nice weather today, I would have gone out fishing.

kum or kam expresses an unreal possibility.

Hamakus kadim hadagaan mataliin anĝaĝiqangis matalgal aguum, wayaam kum tukum angunaa malgakux̂. If we had lived like they lived in the early days, we would have had great wealth now.

Unangam aluĝIx̂taalangis ngus taĝayax̂tanax̂ aguung kum, angunaĝulax kum imis hing (hix̂tang) akux̂. If I had tried to learn how to write Aleut, I could have a little to tell you (but I did not learn it).
