= Alitxux̂ inakuĝaan Atx̂am hadan uqitiiĝutanas. When the war was over we returned to Atka.

Awahlikuq. I am (was) still working. + Ting asx̂aniiĝutakuq. I got tired again.

= Awahlikuqaang ting asx̂aniiĝutakuq. I worked until I got tired again (now).

Alqul tunux̂tadunaaĝix̂t? Why do you try to talk fast? + Hix̂tanat tutalakaq. I don't hear what you say. 

= Alqul tunux̂tadunaaĝikux̂taan hix̂tanat tutalakaq. Why do you try to talk so fast that I can not hear what you say?

= Saĝaatukuqaang mal ting quyuungan aĝikug. I am sleepy so I'll go to bed. I'll go to bed because I am sleepy.

Haqatalakaĝing. I don't know it. + Imis hix̂taakalakaĝing. I can not tell it to you.

= Haqatalakaĝing maasal imis hix̂taakalakaĝing. I don't know it so I can not tell it to you. I can not tell it to you because I don't know it.

Daqaĝinazulax. They were stupid. + Hamamaalaqas ax̂takus. They were treated like that (it is said).

= Daqaĝilakaĝis maalal hamamaalaqas ax̂takus. They were stupid so they were treated like that. They were treated like that because they were stupid.
